Eva Olsson Blog

A little while ago a person came to our class who was known by the name Eva Olson.Eva was a holocaust survivor. She is the only survivor of the holocaust i have met. She is very inspiring. To hear her story would change you forever.

She is Jewish. So one day the Nazis were bound to come to her town. She and her family were sent down the street into boxcars. Thereafter sent to a concentration camp. The concentration camp the were sent to was in a place called auswitsch.

The conditions were very poor there. The food was no exception which was consisting of mostly sawdust. Later on in life Eva Olson got married. But all good things must come to an end. Eva lost her husband to drunk driving.

I think Eva was a strong person. probably one of the strongest person i have ever know.

Small,but amazing! things

A day, not that long ago,I was headed to a big base ball tournament in all small part of Ontario. On the way there,it stated to rain well, more of a sprinkle. That soon turned into a pretty heavy downpour. This is what i was thinking, ' aw man i gonna get soaked out there today!' My parents said it would be about 28 more minutes, till we got there.

Now i was thinking the game might be canceled because of the rain. If the diamond got to be extremely wet they would cancel it. as well as if it was thundering of if there was lightning it would be canceled as well. For me, the hopes looked pretty slim. It seemed as though as soon as we would get there, be told that the game has been canceled and make the 2 hour drive back home.

It turned out as soon as we arrived even trough it was still raining the game would not be canceled the diamond was wet but not enough to cancel it. It had been protected by trees. The game had started and we had all gotten soaked to the skin. as the game ended and we had won the tournament the rain started to thin out and a rainbow appeared. It was probably the best rain bow i have ever seen. It was the picture perfect ending to a movie.

I will never forget that day and all that happened.

Ms Team Building Day

The Middle school Team building day i think was a great experience for everyone. That day we faced some pretty tough challenges. Like......."mission Impossible" you know if you saw the first mission impossible movie you would understand. OK so this is what we had to do. We were connected to a harness and people were controlling where they went by pulling and pushing on the ropes. You also had to collect the balls on the ground.....without touching the ground.

The day was all about trust and taking risks. The next challenge was to climb a 20 foot wall. That had no footholds or anything to grab on to. They said to pretend to be in the war. then say that the british were comming to save us. We also had to climb the 20 foot wall get on the ships deck.

At the beginning of the day, we did some thing called the inuit blanket toss. Or also known as the pikgskin toss. Here's how it worked, We unfoled a huge blanket. Then we went around in a circle and one peson would go in the middle of the blanket. Then we wold grab one of the handels and we all pulled at the same time. Timing was key here. If even a couple of people were off then it would get messed up.

Another one of my favorite thigs was well besides lunch....the drum circle. When we all first got in there, everyone was doing their own thing. No one was in sync with anyone. But as the day continued the leader taught us all abou be together. Aswell as following the rythym.

I think that ms team building day was a great sucess, and hope it was as great for you as it was for me.

Tell ME! why?

"To over come evil with good is good. to resist, evil with evil is evil."

Mohaamad

This quote got me thinking......Well, at first it confused me about the evil good evil part quite the tounge twister. After reding it a few times I finally Understand it. To overcome evil with evil is evil. that means that If you try to over come evil with doing evil back is evil it's self.

To over come evil with good is good. that means that if you are facing evil and and attempt to overcome it with good that means that is good.

Poverty Reflection

Poverty Reflection

I am worried at where this world and age is going. I think that there will be no one left to care. WHY? I ask my self sometimes. Why doesn’t anyone care?

I now know that poverty is a bigger problem- A gigantic problem that seems so massive that no one will even attempt to try to stop it.

I admire Craig Keilbuger and what he did and how he did something to change the world. When he was twelve and how he started free the children.

I know this a huge problem but I think that if we work together we can tackle this Global Problem
